Design Forecast Live: Phoenix 2050

Ashley Harder at Gensler in Phoenix

As Phoenix continues to evolve from a fast-growing city into a global destination, conversations about growth, climate, lifestyle, and investment are shaping how the region plans for the future. Design Forecast Live: Phoenix 2050 convened leaders in design, economic development, innovation, and placemaking to explore how those forces are influencing the built environment today and what they mean for the Valley in the decades ahead.

The discussion focused on how changing lifestyle preferences and technological adaptation are driving new approaches to development, infrastructure, and district-level planning across Phoenix.

Ashley Harder participated as a panelist, contributing insights informed by her work in adaptive reuse, infill development, and historic preservation, and the role of intentional growth in strengthening Phoenix’s communities through affordable housing and designing with intention.

The panel brought together regional and national leaders across design, economic development, sports innovation, entrepreneurship, and real estate.
