A brighter future for all of us
Ashley’s Priorities
Additional Priorities
-
Education is foundational to opportunity and belonging. While the city doesn’t run school districts, it can be a strong partner.
I will strengthen partnerships with local districts, support creative land-use solutions that benefit educators and families, and advocate for arts and cultural investment that reflects the size and talent of our city.
Libraries are not extras, they’re infrastructure.
-
We have to prevent displacement and respond with dignity when people are displaced.
I support continued investment in rental assistance, shelter, and long-term stabilization strategies, paired with regional cooperation across Valley cities.
Stability costs less than a crisis. Prevention is smart policy.
-
Phoenix is a city where many people drive and many rely on transit. Both realities matter.
I support modernizing mobility systems and ensuring transportation investments are planned responsibly and distributed fairly.
Major projects must account for neighborhood impact, small business disruption, and multilingual engagement. We can learn from the past and do better moving forward.
Transportation should make daily life easier.
-
Public spaces are the soul of a city.
District 4 includes some of Phoenix’s oldest neighborhoods. Reinvestment in aging infrastructure is essential to maintaining pride of place.
I will advocate for safe, clean, and beautiful parks, expanded shade, strong maintenance, and public spaces that connect residents to one another and to city resources.
Belonging starts with the places people gather.
-
Stewardship of public dollars is one of the most important responsibilities of a council member.
I am committed to balanced budgets, long-term thinking, and ensuring investments match community needs as funding landscapes evolve.
Phoenix must remain steady, strategic, and fiscally responsible.
