Phoenix District Four City Council Candidate Ashley Harder Delivers Her Closing Message to Voters

October 28, 2026 by

With the November elections six days away, Phoenix District Four City Council Candidate Ashley Harder met with Blog for Arizona to deliver her closing message to voters in that area.

Please tell the readers and the voters why this race is important to the people in Phoenix District Four.

“Our district has grown and changed in many ways, and we have a lot of critical needs that need to be addressed by our future councilwoman.

Right now, we have housing affordability issues. We have to keep our neighborhoods safe. We have to secureour water and rein in data centers. We have to address homelessness and give people hope for a better future. These are big issues that impact all the residents in District Four, and someone with the right experience needs to address them.

We have to get this next chapter right. Our shared future is too important to leave to chance.”

Please give the readers at least two or three reasons why you are the candidate to bring that needed change.

“I’m the candidate who has the experience to secure our water future, make housing more affordable, and bring our city to the next level. I have worked at the intersection of water and housing. I have proudly employed formerly incarcerated individuals and those experiencing homelessness. I have advocated for them with a longstanding commitment to expanding services, shelter, and resources. I’ve worked with small business owners and neighborhood leaders to move our community forward. I’ve called out ICE at protests and advocated for our immigrant brothers and sisters. I’ve called for reining in data centers with substantive steps that expand on the ordinance passed by the council. I am proud to have the endorsement of community leaders, small business owners, and nonprofit leaders from across the district.

“Look, I am not in this for a higher office. I am in this to do the work for District Four. I don’t have any conflicts that would require recusal. I am a Progressive Democrat who was raised by a mother who was a schoolteacher and a father who was an entrepreneur who bootstrapped his way to success to provide for our family. My parents instilled in me a sense of service and giving back to your community. I am seeking to serve our city and its residents. I’m not a performative progressive. I’ve never changed my beliefs to win favor. My record has been consistent for 20 years. This is who I am.

It would be an honor to serve our community as the next Councilwoman for District Four.”
